Privacy Policy
Brokerscribe ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
1. What information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the Brokerscribe service:
- Email address — when you sign up for early access or create an account
- Proposal inputs — business name, industry, coverage details, and other information you enter when generating a proposal. This information is used solely to generate your proposal and is not stored permanently.
- Usage data — basic information about how you use the service, such as number of proposals generated, for the purpose of enforcing free trial limits
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Brokerscribe service
- To send you product updates and account-related communications
- To enforce usage limits on free accounts
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your proposal inputs to train AI models.
3. AI-generated content
Brokerscribe uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate proposal content. Information you enter into the proposal form is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data and can be found at anthropic.com. We recommend you do not enter sensitive personal information about your clients beyond what is necessary for the proposal.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use browser local storage to track your free proposal usage (up to 3 free proposals). We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about how visitors use the site — this may set cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Data retention
Email addresses are retained until you request deletion. Proposal inputs are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session. Usage counts are stored locally in your browser.
6. Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@brokerscribe.ca.
7. Third-party services
- Anthropic — AI content generation (anthropic.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com). Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention purposes.
- Netlify — website hosting (netlify.com)
- Google Analytics — anonymous website usage analytics (google.com/analytics). We use this to understand how visitors use the site. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
